My First Time feature four actors telling hysterical and heartbreaking stories about first sexual experiences written by real people. In 1998, a decade before blogging began, a website was created that allowed people to anonymously chare their own true stores about their First Times. The website became an instant phenomenon as over 40,000 stories poured in from around the globe that were silly, sweet, absurd, funny, heterosexual, homosexual, shy sexy, and everything in between.

This comedy, which raises questions about art and friendship, concerns three long-time friends, Serge, Marc, and Yvan. Serge, indulging his penchant for modern art, buys a large, expensive, completely white painting. Marc is horrified, and their relationship suffers considerable strain as a result of their differeing opinions about what constitues "art."

Footlights was very excited to bring this Tony Award winning play to the Green Bay area. This was also our first show at The Premier space in Green Bay's railyard district.

Medusa - Words Only.png

One of the goals of Footlights Theatre was to allow local authors to showcase their work. With The Medusa Monologues we were able to do just that. Female, and female identifying, authors submitted works that were performed at The Tarlton Theatre in downtown Green Bay.
